About the Artist

A painter for over 30 years, Sandra’s portfolio of watercolour and acrylic paintings includes landscapes, historic homes, floral, still life, and figurative works. She loves the tangible, lasting result of a finished painting and her work includes themes of community, history, and preservation.

Sandra is frequently commissioned to paint “house portraits” or landscapes for people wishing to commemorate special memories. Her work is included in the permanent art collection at the Heintzman House in Thornhill and at the Caledonia House Bed & Breakfast in Stratford, Ontario.

Sandra is a member of the Scugog Council for the Arts, the Port Perry Artists’ Association, the Lake Scugog Studio Tour, and the Coldwater and Area Studio Tour. She is a Past-President of the Willowdale Group of Artists and has participated in
group and solo shows in York Region, Durham, Huronia, Parry Sound, and Toronto. Sandra has been an educator for over 20 years, working in schools in the York Region Area. A life-long learner herself, she loves teaching and working with children and adults alike, sharing new ideas and experiences together.

Sandra’s artwork is included in private and corporate collections across Canada.
